Our former business accounts consisted of two account types:
- Business setup/administrator accounts, this is the setupXXXXXX@startmail.com email account that was assigned when you created the business account.
- Business staff accounts, these are the email accounts that end in your own domain name.
To remove a setup account, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that all created staff accounts need to be removed before we can delete the setup account.
Deleting a staff account will cause all email messages to be permanently deleted along with the account. We therefore recommend backing up any important email before deletion of the account.
Note: Make sure that the account you want to delete is not configured to receive any emails for aliases for your domain. This can be changed and removed in the Business > Aliases tab.
To remove a seat account, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in to your business setup account.
Step 2: Follow the link to the Classic StartMail interface.
Step 3: Log in again to your business setup account.
Step 4: Go to Business > Accounts > Manage Account.
Step 5: Click on Terminate this account.
Step 6: Confirm with the password for your business setup account.
