Last modified on 07 June 2018 08:08 AM

You can access your StartMail account by using the online Web-based client at, or you can import your email into an email client installed on your local device (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Mac Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird). Please note that at this time, only IMAP connections are supported from email clients. POP3 is not available.

Webmail (Browser)

If you use the webmail option, you will read, send, and access your email by logging onto our website through a secure, encrypted SSL connection in your browser. Your email will then be stored on our servers in your encrypted email account. To access it you will need to log on to the StartMail website through a Web browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or Chrome. You can also access the webmail option on your mobile device, by using your device's browser.

IMAP (Local Client)

If you wish to use an email client, StartMail offers IMAP support that lets you access your email from your laptop, desktop computer, cell phone, or tablet. The advantage to this approach is that it allows you to check email from multiple computers or devices.

To set up IMAP access to your email, please see the detailed instructions by clicking here.
