How do I delete an IMAP connection?

StartMail Personal accounts are IMAP-compatible which allows you to access your StartMail account from your favorite email program or mobile device. In the event your mobile device is lost or stolen, you can protect your privacy by deleting the IMAP configuration for that device.  Here's how

  1. Start by logging in to StartMail at
  2. Go to Settings

  3. Click on Mobile/IMAP

  4. Under Devices, click delete next to the IMAP connection you wish to delete.

  5. A popup will appear asking you to confirm your decision. Enter your StartMail account password (not the device-specific password you generated to set up the IMAP connection). Then click Delete.
