Create an Alias from compose view (New)

If you would like to create an Alias from the compose view, go through the following steps:

 

  1. In your StartMail inbox, click on Compose

  2. Click on Create alias

  3. Either select the Generated alias option to generate a random alias, or select the Custom alias option if you would like to use a certain name of your choice. In both cases you are able to choose the expiration time (15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, or no expiration) of your alias. In this example, we will pick the Generated alias option.

  4. The From field will now display the alias you have just created. Any recipients you send this email to will see this alias instead of your actual StartMail address.

Notes:

  • You can select and use a previously created alias by clicking on the From field.
  • To manage your aliases, go to Settings -> Aliases
