How to set up IMAP for your StartMail account (New)

In addition to using a web browser to access your StartMail account, you may also add your account to an email client on your mobile device or laptop/desktop. IMAP allows you to synchronize your StartMail account between the web browser and up to five different IMAP configurations. StartMail does not offer support for POP3.

If you would like to set up IMAP for your StartMail account, follow these steps:

 

  1. In your StartMail inbox, click on Settings

  2. Click on Connected devices/IMAP

  3. Click on the toggle button to activate IMAP access for your StartMail account.

  4. Click on Add device

  5. Choose a name for your device, enter your StartMail account password and click on Confirm

  6. Take note of the device information that will appear, as these details will only be displayed once.

  7. Use your device information from step 6 when adding your StartMail account to a mail client. Specific instructions for some mail clients can be found here:
