I can't access my account at the two-factor authentication (2FA) step (New)
Last modified on 26 February 2020 11:32 AM

If your StartMail account has two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled and you are stuck after entering your username and password correctly, should you not have access to your Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) token, enter your 2FA deactivation code. This deactivation code was shown to you when you had set up 2FA authentication.

Using the 2FA deactivation code will disable 2FA for your StartMal account. Losing both the TOTP token and the 2FA deactivation code will render your StartMail account inaccessible. In many circumstances, we will be unable to help you regain access, so please be very careful when setting up 2FA for your StartMail account.
