What happens if I reach my mailbox storage limit?
You will still be able to log in to your StartMail account when you storage space has been exceeded, but you will not be able to send or receive any emails until you have made some storage space available again.
When you are nearly or completely out of storage space, this will also be shown on your Inbox.
Free up storage space
If you're out of storage space, you have to delete messages. We advise the following:
- Empty your Trash folder. Messages in your Trash folder still count towards the storage limit.
- Delete messages from folders. For instance, you can remove messages from your Spam folder or Sent folder. Make sure to empty your Trash folder again, because when you delete messages they are first moved towards your Trash folder. Messages with attachments might be bigger, you can set a filter on messages with attachments.
