One-time Recovery Code

Your one-time Recovery code is used to recover your StartMail account in case you lose your password.

If you created your StartMail account within the last four years, you received a StartMail one-time Recovery code automatically during the sign-up process. 

If you have an older account, or if you have lost the code you were given, you can always generate a new code.

1. Click on Settings.
    
2. Click the button Generate recovery code.
   
   
    
3. You can copy the code and store it, but you can also print it. Once you have done that, click on Close.
   
   
    
4. If you want to remove your one-time recovery code, click on Remove recovery code. 
   
   
5. If you do this, you will no longer be able to use the generated code to recover your account.
   
   
   
    

Please note that when you use your one-time Recovery code, another one will be generated for you.
