Add your StartMail account to the Gmail app (Android)

This step by step guide will help you set up a connection to your StartMail account in the Gmail app for Android.

First, make sure you have IMAP enabled in your StartMail account.

  1. Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
  2. Click on the logo with your initials on top right.

  3. Click Add another account to start the setup.

  4. Select Other to add your StartMail account.

  5. Type in the email address you want to set up and click Manual setup.

  6. Select IMAP as the Account Type.

  7. Type in your device password that you generated in StartMail and click Next.

  8. Enter imap.startmail.com as the incoming mail server and click Next.

  9. Enter smtp.startmail.com as the outgoing mail server and click Next.

  10. Select the account options and deactivate any options that you do not want. Finally, click on Next.
