Outlook 2019

To set up your StartMail account in Outlook 2019, follow the steps below.

Outlook 2019 for macOS

1. First, make sure you have a device password generated on the Settings page in your StartMail account. You can do so by following these instructions: Configure a trusted device / IMAP password. This is a sixteen character password and is different from your regular login password.
   
   
2. Open Outlook and go to Tools > Accounts > Select the + icon in the bottom left and select the option New Account... (if this is the first time you open Outlook you will immediately land on the next step)
   
   
   
3. Enter your StartMail email address in the window and click on Continue.
   
4. Enter the sixteen character device password you generated earlier from the Settings screen in the Password field and click on Add Account.  (For security reasons, your regular login password for your StartMail account will not work here.)
   
   
5. You're all done.
